What it is

A podcast about learning to make games from scratch. I started it with a friend after months of talking about our shared interest in game development.

What I did

We record episodes about what we are learning, the problems we run into, and the resources that actually help. We started with Unity and are figuring out what kind of games we want to build as we go. The site is at absolutebeginners.quest.

How it works

Each episode follows our actual progress. No game dev experience, no CS degrees. The name is a nod to the Bowie song and to the fact that we really are starting from zero. One of our inspirations was the work Allison Sheridan and Bart Busschots do on Taming the Terminal and Programming by Stealth.
