Candid on Snowflake
Nonprofit datasets on Snowflake Marketplace

What it is
Two nonprofit datasets on Snowflake Marketplace. One has detailed profiles on more than 5 million nonprofits (financials, missions, locations). The other has demographic data collected directly from organizations. Candid is basically Dun & Bradstreet for the philanthropic sector.
What I did
I led the product side. I scoped requirements, figured out which datasets to list first, worked with engineering on data packaging and refresh cadence, and coordinated with Snowflake on how to position the listings. I also worked through pricing and access controls, which behave differently on a marketplace than on our existing products.
How it works
Before this, getting Candid data meant custom integrations, bulk file transfers, or our APIs. Now a data team can pull it directly into their Snowflake environment without building a separate ingestion pipeline. They query it like any other table.
Why it matters
For-profit company data has been easy to get for years. Nonprofit data has not. If you are a researcher, a donation platform, or a charity rating site, getting clean, structured data on nonprofits used to take real work. This makes it a lot simpler.
