My team at Candid just launched our datasets on Snowflake Marketplace. This is a big step for us — it’s the first time we’ve made our nonprofit data available through a marketplace platform.
If you’re not familiar with Candid, we’re essentially Dun & Bradstreet for the philanthropic sector. We collect data from government sources, direct submissions from nonprofits, and global partners. My team cleans and structures this data, making it usable for everything from donation platforms to charity rating sites.

The launch includes two datasets: detailed information on 5+ million nonprofits (financials, missions, locations) and demographic data collected directly from organizations. Users can now access this directly in their Snowflake environment without separate data ingestion.
I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about how to make nonprofit sector data as accessible as for-profit data. While for-profit companies have sophisticated tools for analyzing business data, the nonprofit sector often lags behind in data accessibility. This launch is part of changing that.
For data and analytics teams, this means they can now analyze nonprofit trends or enrich their systems with verified information right where they already work.
